14 Ways Your Cat Loves You

For Tekla, it’s all about love.

Valentine’s Day is Feb. 14 and we present 14 ways your cat shows she loves you. Read here for 10 ways to show your cat you love her.

• Brings you her favorite toys to play with

• Snuggles under the covers at night

• Returns your hellos with the slow blink

• Uses the litter box faithfully

• Converses with you in her own language

• Tolerates having her claws clipped, goobers removed from her eyes and all of your usual poking and prodding to make sure she’s all right

• And likewise, tolerates the veterinarian doing the same

• Uses all of the scratchers you are sure to provide her

•  Allows you to use the computer or read a book or newspaper – once she’s previewed everything

• Doesn’t get jealous when you watch videos of other cats

• Accepts the fact that you sometimes feel the need to add to the “herd”

• Tolerates the occasional belly kisses, even if she isn’t a “belly-lovin’” kitty

•  Knows the difference between weekday mornings and weekends and lets you sleep in

• Patiently waits for you to finish your morning cereal before lapping up the leftover milk

What can you add to this list?

  1. My furkids meet me at the door when I come home. My Apollo, aka “Prince Charming”, sometimes wakes me up with sandpaper kisses on my chin. They sleep on the bed with us.

    I would like to add:
Sleeps and purrs on your head & kneads you in the process.
Demands to be let outside then waits at the door five minutes later wanting to come in.
Greets you with the biggest meow when you come home late.
Is overly attentive and starts to stalk you when the food bowl is empty.
Refuses a cuddle when you want it, demands one when you are busy…
Ah felines, they are so individual and special 🙂

  4. Samantha says:

Sits on the couch starring out the big window waiting for you to come home 🙂 then jumps off the couch and rubs up against you.

  5. Jessy says:

By curling up with me and purring and rolling on her back and chirping and touching my face when I’m sick and having MS symptoms.

Spitfire greets me at the door everytime and is training frostfire to do so. And when leaving both she and frostfire sit on something high and reach out and lick my nose when I go over to them. Spitfire loves seaweed and if i have gone more than a week with out giving her any she will dig through the trash and drop the last wrapper at my feet (I recycle alot so trash dosnt need to go out much). Oh but the one that shouldnt be forgotten is knowing what down means and doing it, even when they dont want to!!
